Navigon GPS app for the iPhone 4

videoWe bought the Navigon GPS app for the iPhone this week and picked up an audio cable and dock today to really try it out in the car. Swoon! With the iPhone connected to the aux audio of the car, we can play our iTunes music while having the Navigon app handle our navigation needs.

What is really nice about it, is that when it is time for audio navigation directions, the app quiets the music but keeps it in the background while it gives the instructions. No more trying to hear the navigation over the music and no abrupt silencing of the music.

The app itself looks to be a really nice piece of GPS software and we will give it a really good workout on an upcoming road trip.

It has already proven to be able to find an address which Google maps has problems with. So far, we give it an A. Likely to tack on a + or two once we have used it longer.

This is a very nice application since it gives you lot of information and also you tend not to get bored while on the road.
