I can't share with you yet the pages I was working on yesterday as I was doing them for a project Kristin will be releasing soon. However, I can tell you that in the course of putting those layouts together, I needed to take some photos of special items to me. One of them happened to be my Bamboo Fun tablet. (the link takes you to the new Wacom Bamboo tablet that I would say is the closest equivalent to what I have, not the actual one I have but the one I would like to upgrade to someday possibly... still not definite on that as I like the scroll wheel on my current one)
But that is where Kurious Kitty decided to really impede my progress. I had it staged on top of our bed so that the light coming in the window was hitting it for good lighting. This made it a bit too convenient for Ash though. Can you imagine what that meant for my ability to take photos? If not, I will share with you one of many photos which I managed to get which does show my Bamboo tablet but which also have parts of Kurious Kitty impeding my ability to get a short of it without him in it too.
He was fascinated by the pen especially as it would roll around when I would place it against the tablet as I had the tablet on a slight angle for the light to hit it nicely. My mistake... for I should know better that anything small and which rolls when he touches it is going to fascinate him and become his newest play toy. After trying to get him out of just 1 shot with about 10 failed shots in there, I finally realized I had one of his favorite play toys in my hand... the lens cap! So I tossed it on another part of the bed to get him out just 1 shot please... and it worked! So what should have been just a quick shot taking no more than a minute turned into about a 15-20 minute play session with Ash.
The mundane is never really mundane anymore with kittens in the house. The mundane fascinates them & they make sure to pull you into their Kurious Kitty cuteness. Thankfully Smirk was sleeping at the time as I can't imagine how long it would have taken had he decided to check things out too!
And voila.. the shot I was after, finally captured!
Have you ever had a curious pet impede your ability to get something done?

No! But I have one of those tablet thingies and when I tried it out, it looked like the marks a kurious kitty might make if she had a go on it! Lovely post.
November 6, 2009 12:40 PMCute Kitty, gorgeous Bamboo tablet. If I do anything on the lounge floor, my (very fluffy) dog always comes and sits on it or me!
November 6, 2009 12:45 PMOh yes! Our kitty - Domino - regularly sprawls across my desk and rolls all over the keyboard. The random key hitting sometimes has very strange effects.
November 6, 2009 2:00 PMActually, my pup decided she had to dance in the middle of my scrapbooking and ended up breaking my favorite cutterbee paper cutter! sigh...
