I decided to take it and find out where I am sitting these days. A few years ago, I know I would have fallen into the Type A personality type really far but I have been working hard on learning to go with the flow more and relax. Learning to take pleasure out of moments and experiences rather than measuring success by material things and others' opinions.
So I took the quiz today and was happy to see that it seems that I have been making progress in my personal change. I owe a lot of it to my best friend, soulmate, husband Mike! He gives me such a wake up call to relax more & just breathe. Together, we will make things work. I wonder what his score would be... he is generally pretty laid back but also has his Type A moments. However, if you are still reading, you are likely more wondering what my score was.
My score today was.... drum roll, please... a 41! You ask, well, what does that mean?
According to the Discovery Health Quiz results, it means:
"You seem to be in the middle between the Type A and Type B personality. In this case, the middle ground is good. Your attitude to life is more of the "smell the roses" kind and you know how and when to relax. Nonetheless, you realize that picking up a challenge and competing a little bit for your place in the sun can add some spice to your life. The equilibrium is important, so don't let your hostile, aggressive, and competitive alter ego take over too often. Generally, you are easy to be around, and people tend to feel relaxed and comfortable in your presence. Yours is a very healthy attitude towards life."
For those of you who feel you know me, would you agree with this assessment?
If you decide to take the quiz, I would love to know your result & whether you feel it is an accurate representation of who you feel you are today. Is it who you want to be or are you taking steps to change who you are?
What was your score?

Oh my - now I'm wondering if I was truly honest when I took the test or if I have really changed that much. Five or six years ago (when I was still working full time out of the house) my life was constant stress, need to be in control, total type A. I have been working from home 4 out of 5 days a week now (in office 1 day) for about 5 years. I guess it has mellowed me - I scored 26! Way into the "B" range. great post. thanks.
November 20, 2009 3:56 PMWhat an interesting quiz. I usually lean toward the type A but try not to be too obsessive. I scored a 67 which put me in the "middle ground" according to the results. Thanks for posting this quiz!
November 20, 2009 7:58 PMI would have never guessed you were a Type A in the past. Had me fooled!
November 20, 2009 9:49 PMI scored a 32, which had the same description as yours.

November 23, 2009 1:36 PMA score of 35 for me - middle ground, but I'm happy to see leaning more towards Type B. Like you, Heather, I've taken time to slow down and "smell the roses" - used to be reeeeaaally Type A! LOL
